Every morning, before you even open your eyes, the kitchen at Hotel Regina is already hard at work. Homemade cakes come out of the oven: carrot cake, coffee cake, Aversana Polish cake. Espresso is made by a real person, using beans that have just been ground. Here in Caserta, the home of Campania-style espresso, coffee from an automatic machine isn’t even an option. Take a seat, slow down, and enjoy this ritual. The day can wait another five minutes.
